Strangely enough, in 1959, the price offered to shoot the Marshal was only $1000!

After treating a wounded man, Doc gives his word of honor not to reveal the identity or hiding place of the killers.
The script was used on the Gunsmoke television series October 1, 1955.

The script was reused on the broadcast of November 1, 1959.
